I find that it is very difficult for me to stick to exercise routines while traveling. I try to maintain some level of exercise but there is often just plain no time or facilities. Any suggestions?

This is indeed difficult. You need at least a little time, but lack of facilities is usually something you can overcome. If you have a choice of hotels, you could call ahead to see which has a fitness room. But there are many other options if that's not feasible. If you generally stay at hotels that have VCRs, perhaps you could bring along an exercise video and use that in the morning or evening. An excellent source for exercise videos is Collage. Walking and stair climbing are fine aerobic activities that don't require health clubs. If your travel involves meeting colleagues or friends over meals or cocktails, suggest talking during a walk instead of lingering at the table - they'll probably be delighted (well, some of them, anyway!). Look for opportunities to move throughout the day. If you're sitting and waiting, even if it's just for five minutes, stand up and walk around. Remember that everything you do during the day adds up.

For strength training, do strengthening exercises that don't require weights - there are basic and supplemental exercises in both books that are easy to do on the road. You might also consider exercise bands (discussed on page 99 of SWSY). They're sold by Collage (see above) and widely available in stores that sell sporting goods.
