Miriam Nelson, Ph.D.: Outlined the new research performed at Tufts University on the risks of heart disease for women and the value of exercise and nutrition on overcoming those risks. Her presentation was titled: StrongWomen Have Heart: Gaining a New Perspective on Your Health and the Power to Change
After a delicious and healthy lunch. Attendees heard from Nancy Snyderman, M.D., author, former ABC News Medical Correspondent, on how to improve family communication and to raise strong women and men.
Elizabeth Browning in her presentation Rediscovering Your Potential at Mid-Life, spoke to the group about how to realize the value of change and to appreciate “Me Time” - the time to nourish ourselves that gives us the strength to take care of others.
In this presentation from Christina Economos, Ph.D., individuals were able to create a specific action plan to meet their nutritional needs and exercise goals.

Attendees laughed along with Loretta LaRoche, stress management expert on how to deal with life’s strains by changing our attitude.
