The StrongWomen Program was co-founded by Drs. Miriam Nelson and Rebecca Seguin-Fowler with the goal to transform information within the Strong Women books into scalable and sustainable health promotion programs in community settings. National in reach, today’s StrongWomen Program includes a suite of research-based, experiential learning, group-based classes led by community health educators. The program focuses on catalyzing and supporting healthy eating and physical activity behaviors as well as creating supportive social and built environments.

We envision a diverse community of women who are fit, strong, and healthy; in turn these empowered women become agents of change for their families, communities, and beyond.
